About Bonnie

My Life Training

I’m the wife to a wise and faithful man who has shared life with me for 21 years. Together we have 3 amazing boys!  God has gifted us a son with special needs, which means we have a lot of special needs as a family!

Throughout our years as a special need’s family, we have experienced joyful times as well as dark and restless times.  Special need’s families experience many seasons of up and down’s in their daily lives. We have learned to build a supportive and inclusive community for our family, and surround ourselves with progressive-thinking professionals and friends.

I know the value of having a trusted sounding board in my life to help me sort through feelings and strategies in order that every family member has the freedom to thrive.

My Formal Training

I studied Biblical Studies, Christian Education and Crisis Youth Counseling as an undergraduate. I  received my M.A. in Marriage and Family Ministries at Talbot School of Theology (a school of Biola University) in Southern California. Serving in full-time youth ministry for 15 years, I directed high school girls ministries and trained volunteer staff. I have enjoyed exercising my passion for the generations both as a Social Worker to foster families as well as a high school teacher.

I am a Certified Professional Coach, having received certification in the following specialized areas: Youth, Parent, Family and Stress Management. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, International Christian Coaching Association and the International Coach Federation.
